Accommodation Tax

Nagano Prefecture will introduce a new accommodation tax on June 1, 2026, applying to all guests staying at hotels, ryokan, and private lodging (minpaku).

A tax of ¥400 per person per night applies for accommodation fees of ¥20,000 to less than ¥50,000 (pre-tax).

This rate is expected to be increased from June 1, 2029.

Details of the Nagano Accommodation Tax

All guests will have to pay this mandatory Tax when check-in with cash.
Effective Date: June 1, 2026.
Targeted Amount: ¥20,000 to less than ¥50,000 per person/night
Tax Amount (June 1, 2026 – May 31, 2029): ¥400 per person per night.
Payment Method: cash on-site when check in.
Exemptions: Stays costing less than ¥6,000 per person per night, and or trip organised by educational structure.

予約時に全額前払いをお願いしております。
到着の3ヶ月前までにキャンセルされた場合、お客様にはご予約時の料金の90%を返金いたします。
到着の3ヶ月以内にキャンセルされた場合、お客様にはご予約時の料金の全額が請求いたします。
当日にお客様がチェックインしなかった場合、ご予約時の料金の全額を請求いたします。

チェックイン時間 - 15:00 ～ 20:00
チェックアウト時間 - 09:00 ～ 10:00

Cancellation Policy

We facilitate prepayment of the full amount while booking is made.
The guest can refund 90% of the full amount if the booking is cancelled 3 months before arrival.
The guest will be charged 100% of the total price if they cancel in the 3 months before arrival.
For all bookings, if the guest doesn’t show up, they will be charged the total price of the reservation.
